Default How do i create a .pst file?

I use two laptops and a blackberry to sync them together. It is my
understanding that is if i create a .pst file on my original laptop. i can
email it to my second laptop and save it to my contacts. Will this allow me
to start at the same point with the same exact contacts in both laptops? If
so, how do i create a .pst file?
The computer I have my contacts on is running XP Pro, version 2002.. The one
i want to copy contacts to is running XP,Media center, version 2002 Student
-Teacher Edition.

Thank you for any help you can supply,
Tim

Thanks, Vince. I see it there, but when i try to open it ask what i want to
open it with.I don't know the answer. Perhaps there's a better way to get my
contacts from one computer to another. I need to sync them every day or two
after the initial sync.
1) What do i want to open it with
2) I tried to copy it to a key drive(removable disk (Frive) It says "can
not open Outlook: The process can not access the file because another process
has locked a portion of the file".

3) Is this the best way to do it. or do you have a better way?

As you can probably tell I'm a novice and this seems very confusing to me,
but i want to be able to do it myself without having to hire an IT guy every
five minutes. Know what i mean?

You can't just double click on a PST to open it. You need to open it from
within Outlook using the File menu Open Outlook Data File.
