Default Auto "File as Co Name (Last Name,First Name)"?

I have about 5,000 contacts. I have always filed as - "Company Name (Contact
Name)". I imported the contacts from my master laptop over to a new laptop i
am using remotely. The Dell XP (my master LT) is to big and heavy to lug
around. For some reason all the contacts in my new LT are filed as "Last
name,First name". It would take forever to go in and change them all back
over manually. I'm using MS XP Pro.

Does anyone know how i can change all contacts to be Filed as: Company,(Last
Name,First Name) without doing it manually?

Any help i can get will be most appreciated!!

Why would you import this data? Have you not seen the countless posts here
that tell you all the data you lose when you import? The File As... field is
among that data.
Just transfer your data correctly. To repeat:
1. Copy your Outlook data file.
2. Open it in your other installation.
Never touch the import Wizard.

You can use the tool "ChangeNames" to do it automatically

Thank you, Russ. This is the first time I've tried this, and I'm afraid i
haven't learned how to be as productive as i should be, yet. I appreciate
your help and patience. When i get home tonight I'll try to save as a pst -
download to a key drive - then copy it to my other computer.

Thanks again!
Tim

If you say this, then perhaps you didn't understand Russ's advice. You
don't need to save anything as a PST. It already IS in a PST. Use the one
that exists already was what Russ is trying to tell you.
