How do I type phone numbers with extensions in Outlook Contacts so that
when it is transferred to a Blackberry it will dial the phone numbers
with the extensions?

I use Microsoft Outlook Contacts to put the phone numbers into the
Blackberry.

I'm sure you do. It is the responsibility of Blackberry's synch software to
transfer those numbers to the device in a format in which they can be used.
Outlook is the server here. It's job is to present a consistent interface,
which it does. --

Include "p"s in your phone number. Eg, my phone number is 123456 with the
extension 0987, I input the phone number into Outlook as 123456pp0987

p is the universal mobile/cellphone digit for a pause. A longer pause is
obtained by following with another p

How many p's required is dependant on the make an model of the phone system
you are calling.

Hope that helps
