Outlook 2003 Distribution lists
I have a number of distribution lists that seem to work correctly. However,
the DLs do not appear in my Contacts folder. Can anyone help please? |

No, but you can. Where did you create these DL's? What information store are
you using--Local data file or Exchange mailbox? -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Noel Fryer" wrote in message ... I have a number of distribution lists that seem to work correctly. However, the DLs do not appear in my Contacts folder. Can anyone help please? |

Then if you see them, they exist in your Contacts. It cannot be otherwise.
Examine your folder hierarchy carefully. Did you create more than one Contacts Folder? -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Noel Fryer" wrote in message ... I created them in Outlook. Sorry Russ, maybe we're at cross-purposes. The members of a DL list do
appear in my Contacts but the DL itself doesn't. I understand that it's supposed to show with a 2-headed icon, but they don't appear at all. Yes I have two Contact folders (actually I have four, because I ended up with duplicates having upgraded from Outlook 2000). I have searched all four using the "Find" tool; nothing. Then clarify your post. Your contention is that you have an invisible DL
that works just fine? How do you know it works and how do you select this DL as a recipient if it is invisible? Upgrading from earlier versions usually fries DL's unless you take care to migrate your data correctly. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Noel Fryer" wrote in message ...
