count items in an Outlook View
I have a Folder View for which I would like to count the items or lines that
were selected by my Filter. For example, I have a Folder containg Contact records. My View filters out just those Contacts from the "Members" Categogy and my Report displays the "Members" names. Now I would like to number the line items in sequence on the left margin, so that I can see how many of my Contacts are "Members" without manually counting the lines; however, I cannot find a count field in the Contacts data set, or anywhere else; Nor is there an option to include a count. Any help out there will be greatly appreciated. |

Thank you, Diane. I was afraid of that. I have been exporting to EXCEL to use
their counts and printing from there. This is a truly great resource. Thanks again. if you are using File, Export, select all items copy and paste (may need to
paste special, as text) into Excel - it;s faster. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "norm" wrote in message ...
