Outlook 2003
Hi, I am having computer problems and have to reinstall my operating system.
Before doing so, i am backing up all my files - however, could you please tell me where my contacts, calendar etc is normally located, so that I can make a copy of that too. it will save me so much time later on. Any advice on better ways to do this would be most welcomed. When I transferred from an old pc to this new one, i originally exported my contacts to an excel file, but it seems to drop some important information, such as the email address! someone then showed me where the whole contacts and calendar file is stored and we simply made a copy of that and used that instead. Hope to hear from you soon! |

The file you need is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the
mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored. Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer: http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm http://www.howto-outlook.com/Howto/backupandrestore.htm http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...771141033.aspx -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Trish" wrote in message ...
