Apply custom designed forms to Imported Contacts
Would be very grateful for any help.
I've created a link between an Access Query and Public Contacts database. It's not a direct link because the option to import contacts from Access doesn't appear for a Public folder. I've also designed a custom form for the address cards so that all mapped information is on one page. The form works like a charm when I try to create a new contact, but doesn't apply this custom form to the imported contacts from Access. Does anyone have any ideas how I can make this custom designed form apply to imported contacts from Access? Thanks very much

Apply custom designed forms to Imported Contacts
Hi CaymanCarrie,
you have to change the message class for the imported contacts. You could use our freeware addon for Outlook: "DocMessageClasss". bit more research, I was able to find a useful documents that provides some background to the less experience users, just in case anyone else looks into this thread. "How to update existing items in an Outlook folder to use a new custom form" http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/201087 However, the macro they recommend in this article, Omsgclas.exe, only seems to work on older versions of Word and Outlook. There's no reason the macro won't work on any version. What problems are you encounter? Did you check Outlook VBA basics like security? See http://www.outlookcode.com/d/vbabasics.htm
