How do I find the number of email addresses in a distribution list

My small business has a large email distribution we've created in Outlook
2003. How do I find out how many email addresses are contained in the list
without manually counting them?

You can't. For some reason they removed the status bar from DL's in Outlook
2003.
In older versions, the status bar would display that.
