Default Importing to "User" fields

I'm trying to import a CSV file into Outlook 2003 and have no trouble
getting the name, address, etc. fields to match up & import. However,
I have a few miscellaneous fields that I mapped to "User1" "User2" in
the import utility. But they don't show up in the Outlook contacts.

How to make it work?

Outlook does not support importing to custom fields or importing custom fields. there are methods to do so using code - see http://www.outlookcode.com for assistance.

Did you look on the All Fields page of the individual contact? THat's where those property values are visible.
