hi there,
i read a lot of posts but couldn't find to much or not exactly this for outlook 2003: I receive an adress, open adress-book from icon-bar, browse the contacts, "Alex G." is not there. Been in contact with "Alex G." rarely, i thought that i forgot to add him. Clicking "new Contact", typing in the info, on saving Outlook offers to merge the new data with the existing contact. ??? - OK - done. Browsing contacts, "Alex G." is not there. Taping "Alex G." into search field in standard icon-bar, "Alex G." is there, correct with all previous and new info. ???? Did i miss something? Well, "Alex G." and some others are still missing when browsing the Adressbook. THX so much! |

You appear to have stored the Contact in a Contacts Folder other than the
one you happen to have been displaying at the time in the address book view. Instead of manually searching for the Contact, why don't you use the Lookup Contact function? -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Roman Eigner" wrote in message . .. hi there, i read a lot of posts but couldn't find to much or not exactly this for outlook 2003: I receive an adress, open adress-book from icon-bar, browse the contacts, "Alex G." is not there. hi, thx for the answer,
but i don't have any other folder, nor i remember having used any other. These contacts also appear when browsing the contacts in Outlook, using the "Contact-button" in the left panel. I can live with it, not finding some contacts in adress-book view as long as they are there, but curious as i am, i just wanted to know how come. thx, roman "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" schrieb im Newsbeitrag ... No way to tell from your description. The most common cause of a Contact
appearing in your Contact Folder but not in your Outlook Address Book is the lack of a valid electronic address in the Contact record. The second most common cause is the failure to include the relevant Contact Folder in the Outlook Address Book. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Roman Eigner" wrote in message . .. hi, thx for the answer, but i don't have any other folder, nor i remember having used any other.
