Importing Outlook 2000 contact list into Outlook 2003

I have a new computer with Outlook 2003 using a Contact list from an older
version of Outlook ()2000). When writing a new email, clicking on the "To:"
button does not bring up any contact list. Instead I have an error message. I
have discovered how to access the old list but I have to go to a lenghtly
process involving about 5 or 6 steps (File/Managing database/etc). Is there
any way to access the old contacts by default?

Never import Outlook data.
To migrate your old data used the steps Outlook tells you to:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...771141033.aspx
Once you do, configure your Outlook Address Book correctly.
