I want the distribution group name to show, but not the individual names and
addresses. Can this be done? Thank you.

No. The only way to do so is to put the DL in the BCC field, then put a
dummy Contact in the To: field which bears the name of your DL.

Try putting the distribution list in the "BCC" box and then type the name of
the list in teh subject line!
