Hello,
I have a distribution list where I removed 2 names by clicking on them and clicking the remove button in Outlook 2003. The names are then removed. My problem is that when I send an email using that list the 2 names are still there. When I open the + sign I see the names, but when I look at the distribution list the names are gone. Can you tell me where the names and emails were moved to so I can delete them from the list. I also click the update now button but that did not help. Thanks, Mike |

When you compose a message and enter this DL in the recipient field, did you re-resolve the address (i.e., CTRL-K - Check Names) or did you click To and add the DL name from the address book again? -- Brian Tillman |

I clicked the to button and added the list from the contacts by doubling
clicking the dl name. Mike "Brian Tillman" wrote: mikesteven wrote: I have a distribution list where I removed 2 names by clicking on them and clicking the remove button in Outlook 2003. Not sure why no one ever believes me when I say DL's don't work and no one
should use them. Users prove my point every day. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Brian Tillman" wrote in message ... mikesteven wrote: I clicked the to button and added the list from the contacts by doubling clicking the dl name. I'm afraid I don't have any good suggestions. -- Brian Tillman |

Russ,
I have about 100 names for our booster club. What would be another way to compile the names and mass email? Is the DL a bug in outlook? DL's are a permanent bug.
Most people use categories or separate Contact subfolders to group contacts, according to their needs. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "mikesteven" wrote in message ...
