Importing excell to outlook but having problems

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone on this list can help me with this problem:

I am trying to import an excell file to outlook contacts but it is
giving me an error that the file has no named ranges. I need to name
the range os data .. does any one know what that means?

Thanks
Dani

In Excel, select all the data, then choose Insert | Name | Define

Sue, This is helping me too. However, now that I am able to get the
information to cross over to contacts. It will not pull over my first
contact. I mapped out the crossover. I hope you can give me more
answers...Thanks a bunch. Laura

Did you save the file after adding the named range? Does the range include all the data you want to import and column headings that tell you what data is in each column?

I cannot remember if I saved it again and no I did not include the column
headdings the first time. The second time I tried it I highlighted the
headdings as well.

You have to save the file if you want Outlook to be able to use your changes.
