Question about Default Contacts folder

Is it possible to change the default Contacts folder? My default Contacts
folder is obviously corrupted as I receive the error message "The messaging
interface has returned an unknown error...". when I attempt to delete some
contacts. However, I copied the contacts from the default Contacts folder
to a new .pst file, and all worked well.

Please help.

Question about Default Contacts folder

No. You cannot change the default Contacts Folder.
Describe what you did to corrupt yours and what steps produce the error
message.
Have you tried any routine maintenance like repairing your PST file with the
Inbox Repair Tool and creating a new profile?

Repairing the PST or creating a new profile are easier solutions.

Question about Default Contacts folder

1- Make a new .pst
2- The new pst should be visible as a second "tree" of folders in "Folder
List" view.
3- In Folder List view, right click the root of your default/old pst
(personal folders?) select Properties click Advanced button Make note
of this complete path/filename!!
4- Tools Email accounts view or change existing "Deliver new mail to"
drop-down menu at bottom, select the name of the new pst and accept changes.
5- After making sure you know the path/filename from step 3, close outlook.
6 - reopen outlook
7- File Import and Export Import from another Program or file Personal
Folder File (.pst) probably choose do not import duplicates Next
8- the top folder should be selected (personal folders?), make sure Include
subfolders is checked, Import items into the same folder in:, make sure name
of new pst file is in drop down list.

9- When you click finish, the contents of the old pst should be imported to
the same locations in the new pst. This should not remove any data from the
old pst.

Importing is rarely the proper method to use and never the proper method if
you're trying to move the contents of one PST to another intact.
