Default Sending emails - Single Quote Marks Before/After Contact Name

Good day!

I am having a repeated problem with single quote marks appearing
before/after contact names in emails that I am sending to one (or multiple
people).

Example: To: '

When I type in the email address into the To, Cc or Bcc fields when
composing an email, the email address or person's name appears correctly,
however, after I hit the "send" button, the message gets hung up in the
Outbox and will not send. When I click the "Outbox" folder, I'll see that a
single quote mark has appeared before/after the person's name or email
address. AGAIN, this happens after I hit the send button.

Sometimes I have to open the email, delete the contact name, reinsert the
contact name and try to resend multiple times without success. I usually end
up having to delete the contact out of my address book, create a new contact
record for the same person, insert the person's name into the To, Cc or Bcc
field(s) and then hit the send button before I can successfully get the
message out of the Outbox.

This is a new problem that started to occur about 6-7 months ago. I have
many clients that also are having the same problem so I know it's not related
to my PC.

Any ideas on how to fix this annoying problem.

You'll need to provide more accurate information including how you are
actually entering the recipient address ("Typing" could mean anything,
including autoresolution), information store, and transport. "2002 MOS" is
another mystery.

The single quotes are actually required in some cases. If you were to
right-click that string and choose Properties, you might see something like
this:

DIsplay name: '
E-mail Address:
E-mail type: SMTP
Internet format: Let Outlook decide the best sending format

In this example, the E-mail address is the important part. The display name
is irrelevant. What should actually get sent in the "To" field would be:

To: '

with the stuff in apostrophes being ignored.
