Backing up Contacts
 

Hi,
I am able to back up all my e-mails and settings except my Contacts,
which has all my friends and family e-mail address. Can anyone tell me
how to back up my contacts in Outlook 2003? I would appreciate it if you
could CC my e-mail address as well as the newsgroups.

Your contacts are in the same file as all the rest of your Outlook data - so
if you make ma copy of that then you have your contacts as well.
And please change your sig: it should be FOUR lines only, and the delimiter
is --[space] not a solid line.
This is so that good newsreaders will automatically strip the sig in
replies. If you use any other delimiter then the sig is NOT automatically
stripped by good news readers.

Thank you, but will I be able to back up my contacts with a program
called ABF Outlook Backup. It is a backup and synchronization tool for
the MS Outlook. It enables you to backup and restore your messages,
address book, settings, accounts, message rules, junk email lists,
signatures, and even your internet favorites. ABF Outlook Backup allows
you to backup data on the one computer and restore to another. This
feature makes ABF Outlook Backup not just a backup program but also an
ideal and perfectly functional synchronization tool. This program is
easy to use and has a simplified user interface, very useful for
beginners.

I'm new to all this backing up, my contacts (is it the same as address
book?) is very important to me.

Yes and no. Many people CALL the Contacts folder the "addressbook" in error.
The Addressbook is actually just a view of the contacts folder.
If you are unsure, contact the Vendors and ask.
It would seem to me from their website that the utility backs up the Outlook
data file which of course includes Contacts.
