Invalid Parameter Error Message

When I try to enter a new contact in Outlook 2007, I get the error message:
"Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not
valid." I am able to revise and save existing contact information. I am
working offline, if that makes a difference. Does anyone know how to fix
this?

I'd try clearing the forms cache.

Thanks. I went to the link but the instructions are for Outlook 2003 and I
can't find any similar files in Outlook 2007. Is there a different way to
access the forms cache in 2007?

The first step in troubleshooting is to use the command in Outlook to clear
the cache using the Manage Forms dialog (Tools | Options | Other | Advanced
Options | Custom Forms, then click Manage Forms).
If that does not resolve the problem, shut down Outlook and delete the
entire contents of the FORMS folder. The location of the forms cache depends
on the operating system, where %username% is the environment variable
containing the user's login name:

â–*Windows Vista - C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\FORMS
â–*Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\%username\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\FORMS
The cache contains a Frmcache.dat file, which maintains a summary of cached
forms and pointers to the cached files, plus a subfolder for each cached
form.

Thank you for taking the time to send such a detailed response. I was able
to follow every step. I had no forms in that file but I deleted it anyway.
Still no luck. I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to reinstall the
program.

That never works. Creating a new profile often does. Be sure you repair your
PST file before you use it in the new profile.

When you create a contact that gives you the error, are the fields filled in correctly?

Full name- First and Last
E-mail address
Contact number

Should be able to create any contact in offline mode...
