How to shut off incoming message alert

Whenever an email message is received a window opens in the lower-right
portion of my screen which fades out after several seconds. How can I shut
off this feature?

ToolsOptionsE-mail OptionsAdvanced E-mail Options. Uncheck "Display
a New Mail Desktop alert".
