Computer name in userid is stopping me from connecting to comp. se

I connect successfully to my company by creating a VPN connection and my
sign-in is okay. Now I go to try to set up Outlook to the Microsoft Exchange
server and when i check name it tries to log me on to the server. The problem
is that it puts my computer name in the userid so even if the password is
correct it does not validate because of the computer name. It should be just
the user. I cannot figure out how to get rid of the computer name - Any ideas.

Try it with a new mail profile but do not use the Check Names feature, just
hit next. This should prompt you for your username/domain/password where
you can specify the correct credentials.
