I re-installed outlook 2003 and need to recover old e-mails etc.

I re-installed outlook 2003 and do not have a recent .pst backup. Is there
any way I can recover my previous e-mails, contacts and personal folders? Is
there an automatic data recovery I can access for my old outlook data?

JJ,
1. Create a folder on your PC, such as in My Documents, or anywhere else
that is easy to remember, and label it something like Old PST files.
2. Do a search a search of your PC, for *.PST files. You will probably need
to include Hidden files & folders, in your search.
3. If you find more than one *.PST file, the default *.PST file is usually
labeled outlook.pst.
a. COPY & Paste, not Move, them one by one into the folder you created
in step#1. Also rename them, to something like transfer1.pst, transfer.pst,
ext...
4. Open MS Outlook On the Toolbar select FILE OPEN Outlook Data File
Browse to the folder that you created and saved the copied *PST files to.
5. Select a file and open. In Outlook another Personal folder directory tree
will be created.
6. Open each folder of the new Personal folder directory tree, and Copy the
contents of each folder to the appropriate folder in the Main Personal
folder.
7. When you finish with that data file Right click the the "transfer file"
Close Data file.
8. Repeat the transfer process for any other *.PST files that you might have
found.

I re-installed outlook 2003 and need to recover old e-mails etc.

Provided *all you did* was uninstall / reinstall Office 2003
Either use Data Management to reattach the other data files, or within
Outlook, FileOpenData File and open any data files found

Outlook doesn't have an address book. All contacts are stored in the Contacts
folder. Recoving your PST correctly will automaticlaly restore your contacts,
mail, calendar, tasks, journal, and all other data.
