Default Aol in Outlook - won't send mail

I have added AOL to my Outlook. I put in
imap.aol.com for incoming
stmp.aol.com for outgoing

I also have tried changing the smtp number from 25 to 587 as instructed.
I am receiving mail just fine, but cannot send it. I am sure everything is
entered correctly as far as the email address and name, password, etc.

I get this message:
"No transport provider was available for delivery to this recipient." I have
checked the suggestions for fixing that and still have trouble. I'm
frustrated to say the least.

Outgoing requires authentication, have you set this?

Yes, I did set the authentication. I have it saved for incoming and outgoing
mail.
