Default Outlook 2007 on a New Computer

I had an XP system running Outlook 2007. Recently, the hard drive crashed. I
now have a new Vista system and I have just installed Outlook 2007. I have a
backup of my old data files on CD.

I'm wondering what is the best way to approach getting the old data on my
new system. When I start Outlook 2007 for the first time on the new system,
it will connect to my ISP and download all the mail that has been piling up.
Then if I import my old data files, will it overwrite that mail that was
downloaded?

Any advice or links are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dianne

How you recover old data depends what you used or how you backed up your
data
