Accessing web when in an OUTLOOK 2000 message
Currently running Outlook 2000 - when I "cleaned" the system up a week ago -
I somehow removed the ability to click on a web link embedded in a received message and go straight to it. How do I reestablish this ability? I want to go straight out when a message gives me a link but can't now - I have to go to the home URL type it and go from there. ANNOYING |
Accessing web when in an OUTLOOK 2000 message
Here are a few things to try. Open IE and go to Tools/Internet Options then
click the "Programs" tab. Hit the "Reset Web Settings" button. Uncheck "Also Reset My Home Page" before hitting Yes. While you're there, also make sure that you have a default email program set—if you don't it might also cause this problem. If that doesn't work, go to Start/Run and type in and then type in REGSVR32 URLMON.DLL Click OK. You should get a box telling you that the procedure was completed. Close that window and try again. Still not working? If your security settings are too high, you have a firewall, or a pop-up stopper these can prevent a browser window from coming up when you click the link. Hopefully one of these solutions will fix your problem.
