Different users using the same .pst file.
 

I have three user accounts on my laptop, but only use Outlook on one of them.
Basically when I open Outlook from the Admin user account I want it to be as
if I opened Outlook from the other user account. Can multiple users access
the same information in Outlook (including stored emails)?

If you only installed Outlook, or Office for the admin account then it wont
be available to any other user
PS Using the Admin account as the default account is not realy reccomended,
better to set up a seperate win account with Admin privelidges

If outlook is installed for all users then yes you can use the same data
file, but only for the single user at a time
Once you have set up the primary user Outlook and its data file. Close
outlook, locate the data file and move it to a location all users can
access. Then open the primary user Outlook, it will complain it cannot find
the pst (data File) browse to & select the data file you just moved

When you set up outlook for other users, at the point when it asks to create
a new data file, select no & browse to the data file you previously moved

Does the .pst file contain all the information Oulook needs (contacts, email
account access, saved emails and their folders, etc)?
So I have to move the file? I tried to have the admin user point to the
primary users .pst file but the folder doesn't come up.

It contains all data, accounts however are in the registry

By default the data file will be in a user specific folder, which depending
on the type of user account, the other users wont have access to, you may
also have problems with outlook if other users are on a limited account.

If you create a folder in C drive, and place data in that folder, generally
all users will have access to that folder.
It seems somewhat odd, IMO, to have all users using the same data file
