Default Rules not working when upgraded to 2007 from 2003

I recently upgraded from Outlook 2003 to 2007. I imported my personal folders
and can see everything fine. All my rules that "delete" or "notify" work
properly, however, any rule that is set up to move messages to one of my
personal folders fails. I have recreated a brand new .pst, created a folder
and tried to setup a new rule, still fails. I did create a rule that moves
messages to a subfolder on my server and that seemed to work fine. Given that
my space is limited on the server, I need this to work in personal folders as
those are stored locally.

Importing native outlook data is a method which results in loss of data,
rules being one

Not really understanding your comment. What should I have done differently
and what should I do at this point? And why would all rules except rules
going to personal folders work - even when I start from scratch with a new
..pst file?

thanks for the help.

Problem solved. Exported personal folder and rules. Then I removed my
profile, recreated profile, imported personal folder and rules. Fixed
problem, thanks!
