I have Outlook 2003 configured with my Comcast account as default and it has
worked fine for 3+ years. In the past 2 days I have been prompted to 'Enter Network Password' for the Outgoing (SMTP) mail server. Clicking OK gets me nowhere and eventually I am told that the server did not recognize my userid/pw. However, these are recognized at Comcast's webmail. There is no problem with two other e-mail accounts that I have with other ISPs. I have had three Chat sessions with Comcast who tell me that my settings are correct and that there is a problem with Outlook and that I should contact Microsoft. I do not accept this diagnosis, and will apprecaite any suggestions from you. I am currently in Europe (where the connection worked fine until Friday) and I am accessing the internet through a wireless router to my broadband connection to BT. Thanks. Mike |
