I have a brand new computer and have just installed Microsoft Office 2007.
When I go to Outlook 2007, I am asked to enter the microsoft exchange server and mailbox, which I have. When I press "check name" this error box pops up: 'The name cannot be resolved. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.' I know that one way to make Outlook online is to use the 'help' tab, BUT I can't even open up any part of Outlook to get to the help button. I have also already tried 'repairing' Office with the installation CD, but I am getting the same error. Please help! |

are you inside the network with the exchange server? Are you using the

What do you mean by 'inside the network'?
As for the server name and log on, I purchased Office 2007 at my university before I graduated in May. The exchange name and mailbox automatically popped up under their information so I am assuming it is correct. It is what I used for Outlook 2003. Does that make sense? Are you at home trying to connect to the exchange server at work through the
internet or are you at work trying to connect to it while on the same network?
