Outlook 2007 - replying to and composing emails
I know that I HAVE to use Word 2007 editor (Grrrr...)

But how do I get the Word "Print Layout" when composing or replying to emails.

It seems to be fixed in the Web Layout, which shows fonts at about four
times their actual size, and is less than useful for composing emails.

Or better still, is there a way around HAVING to use Word as the editor???

It's not exactly Word anymore or Outlook but a whole new editor. What is
your issue with it?
Sounds to me you have your zoom factor set to anything other than 100%.

Thanks, I found the Zoom level was 150%. I have set it to 100% which is much
better. Why on earth it doesn't default to 100% I have no idea.

But I think you need to do some more research into Outlook 2007. This is in
the Outlook 2007 Help:

"Change the Outlook e-mail editor
The Microsoft Office Word 2007-based e-mail editor is the only e-mail editor
provided in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. The Word 2007 editor is always
enabled and cannot be disabled.

The Outlook editor is no longer available in Office Outlook 2007.

You do not have to have Office Word 2007 installed on your computer. The
current editor is built into Outlook 2007, and many Word 2007 features and
commands are fully integrated into the editor.

Note If you have Word 2007 installed on your computer, additional
features and commands are available.

For a list of features and commands, see Using Outlook 2007 with or without
Word 2007 installed.

What is missing from the new e-mail editor?
Some functionality from earlier versions of the e-mail editor is no longer
available, including animated .gifs, embedded flash objects, and some

But I think you need to do some more research into Outlook 2007.
No need to do more research for me, I know what you mean but it's just how
you want to call it. In previous versions of Outlook it was truly Word that
you opened. Now, it is an editor that is based on Word. I wouldn't call it
"using Word as the email editor" anymore in Outlook 2007. The interface is
different from Word, there are different options and also most settings are
stored completely independent from Word. In that sense it is a whole new
beast which cannot be compared to what we used to call the Outlook or Word
email editor.

I'm hvaing the same issue, letters in my new email pane are showing up
gigantic, but the Zoom option is grayed out, so I can't change it!
