I've just bought a new PC running 64 Bit Vista.
I configured Windows Mail to manage my E-Mail - no problems. A few days ago I installed a trial version of Office 2007 and set up Outlook as my E-Mail program. I allowed the "wizard" to import my settings from Windows Mail but although the wizard succesfully sent a test E-Mail, when Outlook tried to receive E-mails I got a pop up asking me to confirm my user name and password and that's as far as I've got. I've keyed and re-keyed the correct User Name and Password. I've re-run the wizard, I've keyed my Account settings manually but all I can do is to send E-Mails - not receive. At the moment I'm sending E-Mails using Outlook and receiving them using Windows Mail. I temporarily disabled Norton - but it made no difference. Any ideas welcome !!!! |
