Outlook 2007 'hangs' when closing
Hello,
New to the group, sorry if this question's already been answered. When I close Outlook 2007 [part of my Office 2007 Business Suite], the program closes, but the desktop freezes and the icon remains in the systray. To work around this, I've been right-clicking in a blank space on the desktop and selecting 'refresh' and that fixes the problem. Is there a setting in Outlook I need to tweak to eliminate this issue? I'm on a clean install of XP Pro SP2 [about 3 weeks ago]. Many thanks, -- Rick Calic |

Outlook 2007 'hangs' when closing
Well, since no one responded, I'm going to assume it's the Windows Desktop
Search program I recently installed as 'requested' by Office 2007. I love the program because once your files are indexed, you can find what you're looking for in locations that are not 'active'. I have 4 internal hard drives and 8 external hard drives. I ran the program with all drives connected and turned on. Now, when I'm looking for something, the results will show where the file is and if it's on a drive that's not turned on, I know exactly which drive to activate. Very sweet when you have 12 drives. The only real drawback is after a boot up, the program takes about 3 - 5 minutes to 'organize' itself and the computer barely runs until it's finished. I guess the hanging Outlook 2007 is a victim of this program somehow as it is designed to integrate with Office 2007. Oh well - if anyone else has similar issues, it would be nice to confirm. Thanks, Rick -- Rick Calic "We No Speak" wrote: Hello, New to the group, sorry if this question's already been answered. Outlook 2007 'hangs' when closing
Hi I am new to the group. Does anyone know if I can only purchase Outlook
2007? I had Microsoft 2007 loaded automatically on my new computer I purchased which included Excel, Word, PowerPoint but it did not include Outlook.. I have always had Outlook and now I have been using Windows Mail - I do not like it that much so if anyone can tell me how to purchase I would appreciate it.
