User-defined breakpoint message during Mobile - Outlook sync
I just upgraded to Vista and Office 2007 on my Dell Precision M65 laptop.
When trying to use WMDC 6.1 to connect my Cingular 3125 smartphone (Windows Mobile 5) to Outlook 2007, I get a "user-defined breakpoint message" and cannot go further. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2007, WMDC, the phone drivers, and updated the phone to the latest ROM version, etc. Nothing stops it. I can see the phone and the storage card when I choose to use WMDC to view the phone - the break comes when I try to set up the Outlook Sync. When I first connected the phone 3 weeks ago, it worked once. Never again. Any ideas on how to make this work again? It was flawless with ActiveSync and Windows XP. (Neither Cingular or HTC support could assist). |

Since Outlook doesn't participate in a sync (it is just a data repository) and has no settings that control a sync, you need to find a newsgroup dealing with WMDC or Vista. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
