Do you have a "paid/premium" yahoo mail acct? You cannot access Yahoo
or @yahoo.ca) Mail accts, without paying a fee, unless you use a
third party program such as !YPops (formally known as YahooPops) with
OUTLOOK or OutlookExpress.

You can download !YPops from the following location:

Make sure you read all the directions, before installing it, especially if
you are using other proxy application, such as Spam killers. Also I would
set the account's connection timeout to about 5 mins. That what I have mine
set for.

The warning might not have anything to do with password setting for the
acct, but how Outlook interprets the rejections from the Yahoo server.
