I have been having this problem for a couple of days. It has not worked ever
since I installed it. I am running Vista on a new ACER machine and office
Enterprise . I can get outlook to work in Windows Safe mode only. It will
not start in safe mode for outlook. I have tried all the ideas I have found
here, I think, and have come up with nothing. I have deleted the pst files
and created new ones, I have changed the DEP setting and a few others, I am
running out of ideas and I am not at all impressed. I have reached the end
of my limited tech expertise. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is Cloudmark installed? If it is then you might need to update it.
If that isn't the problem then try disabling add-ins and add them back one
by one to see if any are causing the problem. I suspect since Outlook works
in Safe Mode it is an add-in that is causing the problem.

restored after restart, only to crash again. Microsoft Technet forum postings
from 2006 addressed this problem in Outlook 2007 Beta, noting that Adobe
Acrobat's PDFMaker Add-in to Outlook disables program's normal operation.
PDFMOutlook add-in can be removed via the Trust Center menu in Outlook Tools
menu (under COM Add-ins). If permissions not properly set in Office 2007, the
add-in cannot be removed and you receive the inscrutable message "The
connected state of Office Add-Ins registered in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE cannot be
changed." Permissions can be changed by right-clicking the Office 2007
program icon in the Start menu and selecting Properties, then Security, then
Edit Permissions. After PDFMOutlook was removed by this procedure, my Outlook
2007 crash problems seemed to be resolved.

all the add ins. When I went back out of safe mode Outlook still locks up?
I do not have cloudmark, this is a newer machine that mainly collects dust so

Try Repairing the Outlook installation. If that doesn't help try a new
Profile via the Mail icon in Control Panel.

Sorry for the late response. I have tried almost everything I can find on
the internet to this point to get this working. I have removed all the
add-ins. created a new PST, created a new profile. Outlook will not run on
any of the user accounts on this machine. Outlook will not run in safe mode
via the switch /safe. It will only run in windows safe mode? I have put the
event viewer below to see if this helps but at this point I have run out of
options. I am running Trend Micro for antivirus etc. I have no issues with
the rest of the office software so I do not know what else to do. I have
tried silent mail in the past when running office 2003 but I uninstalled it.
I would like to install Auto CC to monitor kids email but I can not even do
that at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any other email applications installed?
Is Trend email integration enabled? If so, try disabling it.
You can try a selective Windows start-up and prevent applications from
running on startup one at a time. I'm thinking something you have running
when Windows starts might be causing a conflict.

I ended up wiping the computer and reinstalling Vista. There was a
fundamental flaw in the install from the factory or someone in the store make
a error. Once reinstalled Outlook worked fine. Thank you again for all your
advice.
