Recover lost email files

I lost my c: drive, but was able to recover data files. I have reinstalled
Office and was wondering how I could open the old Outlook email folder. Is
this possible? Where does it reside? I found .pst files under Application
Data/Outlook, but these files seem too small to contain so much data. Any
suggestions?
