I cannot open folder or view items in inbox

I've just installed Office 2007 and in Outlook the inbox shows I have unread
messages, but I can't view any items. I can view items in other folders, so
it isn't the view setting.

Every folder can have its own view setting. Other folders' views being
correct has no bearing on whether or not the Inbox's view is correct.
