I purchased my desktop pc through a rental company and the product key was
not included and I desperately need it to download some documents for my pc

Should someone in this newsgroup post you a product key? Ask the rental company. If they doesn`t give you a product key you do not have permission to use the software. May be you have a pre-installed version of 2007 and have to buy a seperate product key. So I don`t know, where you can do so. I searched on amazon.com but I can`t find only with media.
