Default Error messge when sending email: 503 valid RCPT comd must precede

I changed my ISP and now when I try to send an e-mail I get an e-mail from
the "system administrator" that my e-mail could not be delivered.
('503 valid RCPT comd must precede data'). The helpdesk of the new provider
says that apparently my client (Outlook 2002) sends something in the wrong
order. Before that, I used outlook for years w/o problems. I s there a
setting I can change to make this work? (BTW,receiving e-mails works fine.)

Enable diagnostic logging to see exactly what the server and Outlook are
saying to each other.

contents of the log here for analysis. Just be sure to first modify any
real mail addresses that appear in it.

The problem has now been solved by the ISP helpdesk. It turned out that my e-mail address was listed on a spam blacklist (surriel.com). Apparently the former owner had used this address to send spam. After removing me from that list sending mail works fine. Unfortunately I can't remember all the steps they made me do do find this out. I had to type a command in the 'run' field, a DOS window appeared and then, among other things, I had to type 'test' and my own e-mail address and 'enter' and then a message appeared 'rejected because registered at surriel.com'. I still checked the diagnostic log that you indicated, and saw that it was already enabled but started listing interactions only AFTER reguler email sending was resumed. It was still helpful because now I could disable it, (as advised on the oulook help page that you linked me to), otherwise the log would have grown indefinitely. I wish I could find these 'self help recipes' the help desk used somewhere on the internet.
