i have just downloaded the office profeesional 2007 trial in 2 files. 1st
installed ok i have access-word etc in a new sub menu. when i try to install
2nd file i get error msg cant install outlook with business manager as out
look isnt installed. it outlook isnt included in the first file. what should
i do?

i have XP prof and office 2000 profesional installed.

You must uninstall Outlook 2000 if you want Outlook 2007 to be installable.

thanks Brian, ill try that now but i am still concerned that outlook is not
included in the 1st file as i tried a custom install to add it.

yes Brian it worked after removing both 2000 & 2007 then i had to down load
more SW, configuring the mail servers was a bit difficult with no help
feature especially as i use different isps for in and out.

i had thought about removing 2000 before starting but it didnt say anything
about it. i imagine most people using the beta have a previous version, i
thought it migt be usefull to have both, and thought if it was necescary that
i would get a msg to uninstall it or the installer would remove earlier
versions.

i also got an error msg saying couldnt open outlook then one to say 'serious
problem with the 'outlookaddin' add-in. do you want to disable now'. said
yes. i think it is something to do with the cd burner, havent tried that yet.

thanks for your help, it has fixed my problem i couldnt get outlook 2000 to
work at all on this new PC i think it was incompatible with mcaffee spam
killer.

Outlook 2007 is without a doubt included in the Office 2007 download.
