Default Link Outlook to email service

I understand that i can't synch Outlook to a free email service (Yahoo,
Hotmail). Are there any free email services that Outlook can link to, or do
I have to subscribe to an email provider to use this function? I appreciate
any input...

unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, DerekCraine asked:
