How do I get OFFICE 97 to OPEN Internet explorer

How do I get OFFICE 97 to OPEN Internet explorer? My mail message has an
ICON on the bottom , but I need to click it to open and none of the pictures
are there.. Can I have this open?

Outlook 97 does not support HTML so any icons you are sent will not be
"live."
