Both of these applications are installed on my PC but only Outllok Express 6
shows my emails received and sent. How can I start to use Outlook 2002. Any advice would be gratefully received. |

You have to set up OL, Profile,Accounts etc.
Set it as default Email App in Internet Options. Then stop using OE You can Export your mail from OE to OL In OL Import your address Book One OL running, set OE not to check for mail. Thanks v much.
I checked Email App in Internet Options, but it was already set to OL, not OE. However OE is still receiving the email and OL is not. How do I change OE to stop checking for mail and is there a switch in OL that needs to be set to start OL checking for mail. Thanks. Stop running OE and it can't receive mail. When you run OE, it downloads your messages from the server and then deletes them so they are not there when you run Outlook. If they're not there, Outlook can;t get them. How do I change OE to stop checking for mail 1) Don't run it. 2) Remove the mail account. 3) Uncheck "Include this account when checking for new messages" on ToolsAccountsPropertiesGeneral and is there a switch in OL that needs to be set to start OL checking for mail. No. If you have it set up correctly, run it and click Send/Receive. Consider setting a send/receive interval so Outlook will receive mail automatically when you start it. -- Brian Tillman |
