Default Lost functionality

I installed Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 trial CD and was
thinking about upgrading my Office 2000. I decided not to and uninstalled the
PE 2003. Since then I have not been able to get Outlook 2000 to receive my
email. I uninstalled office and reinstalled. I attempted to repair the
applications. No success, still won't work. Any ideas?
