Default Outlook 2000 and Outlook Express

I use Outlook Express for my e-mail but want to use Outlook for addresses and
contacts. When I open Outlook 2000, I get an error message stating that
"unable to open default mail folders - Outlook was unable to start because a
place to send and receive mail was not found. What do I need to setup?

Hi,

The first thing you should try is to create a new Outlook profile. Please follow the steps outlined in the following Knowledge Base (KB) article to create a new Outlook profile.

However, since the OP said he is using Outlook 2000 (most likely in IMO
mode), your article does not apply.

You need to create a mail account. Use Control Panel's Mail applet to set
one up.

You still need a mail account. You can just disable sending and receiving.
