Default unable to send email via Outlook

I get the following message when trying to send email. Receiving email is fine.

Task 'Yahoo mail - Sending' reported error (0x8004210B) : 'The operation
timed out waiting for a response from the sending (SMTP) server. If you
continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'

I was using Outlook express and it was working fine, but decided to start
using Outlook. The yahoo mail account is added correctly including using
SMTP port 587 and selecting the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires
authentication" per the Microsort Office assistance but it is still not
working. HELP!

If you're using port 587, perhaps you don't need to authenticate or perhaps
you should be using port 25 and authenticating. The latter is what I use
with my Yahoo SMTP server.
