I would like to handle my e-mail in Outlook Express alone. Outlook keeps
trying to connect to my ISP even when it is not my default e-mail program. |

No, if you delete the mail account information from Outlook it will only be
deleted from Outlook. Outlook Express will still retain the information since the two programs are separate. -- Jocelyn Fiorello MVP - Outlook *** Messages sent to my e-mail address will NOT be answered -- please reply only to the newsgroup to preserve the message thread. *** "MPKinney" wrote: When I opened Outlook it kept logging on to my ISP (or trying to-my ISP wouldn't recognize my password when sent from Outlook, Outlook Express connects just fine) so I kept getting "Unable to Connect" messages every few minutes. Since I first wrote I've been able to keep Outlook from trying to connect by disabling the Send/Receive function. I'd still like to know if I delete my e-mail account from the Outlook "E-mail Accounts" box, will my accounts be deleted altogther from my computer? Hi,
Deleting your account settings ni Outlook will not affect your actual email account on your ISP server, if that's what you're asking. The account settings just provide a program with all of the necessary information to connect to their mail server.
