How can I change the default attachment view from Reading Layout?

I am running Outlook 2003 on Windows XP Professional. Any Word document that
is attached to any Outlook/Office program (e-mail, calendar, tasks, etc.)
opens up in the Reading Layout. I would prefer that the document open in the
Normal layout, but can't find the parameter to change this.
I will appreciate any assistance from anyone who has been able to "break the
code" on this issue.
Thanks

Its on the Tools || Option || General Tab || menu in Word, you need to
uncheck Allow starting in Reading Layout
