If I have a group in Outlook and I then update or change the email address of
one of the contacts in the group, Outlook does not appear to update the
information within the group. In other words, if I send to the group, it
will still send to the old email address of one of the members of the group.

Am I being clear? If so, is there a way around this?

Outlook doesn't have "groups". Are you reffering to a Distribution List?

The addresses in a DL may not have any connection to the contacts they
represent if, in fact, they even do. Entries in DLs don't have to be
contacts first. On occasion, you can click "Update Now" in the DL display
window and have it update the entries if the connection to a contact exists,
but more often than not, that won't work. You're better off opening the DL
and manually correcting the entry.
