Default set up "Out of Office Assistant" type msg if not on Exchange?

Is there any way to set up a reply to incoming messages that you're "Out of
the Office" if you're not using the Microsoft Exchange Server. This feature
is not available. So is there a work around? Possibly a rule?

Hi Sharon,

If you are not familiar with Outlook rules you can use an add-in called Auto
Reply Manager for Outlook. All my friends use it when they leave town for a
few days or when they are on the lunch break at the office. You can find out
