Default Connection to Exchange Server Unavailable & will not open Outlook

Hello - I have recentk unstalled Outlook 2003 on my PC and when I attempt to
open it, I receive the following error....

The Connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook
must be online or connected to complete this action.

I am not setup with the Exchange Server and merely would like to work in the
program. Any help would be appreciated to get around this error.

Thank you!

'Control Panel|Mail|Show Profiles', select the profile with the Exchange
Server service in it and , click "Remove". When finished, click "Add" and
make a new profile without the Exchange Server service in it.
